We understand that not everyone can make it into the practice, we have launched a remote service – new in January 2021.
Your consultation will be hosted by our Physiotherapist on a platform to suit you and will last 30 minutes.
We will call you ahead of your agreed appointment time and take payment over the phone, we will then send you a link for your consultation. We are set up to use Zoom, Whatsapp or Facetime.
In order to get the most your of your session we ask that you follow the suggested guidelines below:
A larger screen is preferable: a laptop or Ipad works well as we may ask you to re-position or move the screen accordingly.
You will need:
Strong internet connection
A private, well-lit room.
A laptop, Ipad or smartphone with a built-in camera and microphone
You need to be able to prop up your camera / device so that you are clearly visible or have someone hold the device for you.
Wear appropriate clothing, shorts for a knee complaint or vest for arm/shoulder complaint.
During the consultation, the Physiotherapist will assess your condition, general health and will take the time to chat through any concerns you have.
You will be guided through a set of examination movements and agree a treatment plan.
If a series of exercises is suggested, the Physiotherapist may demonstrate them on the video link and they will be sent to you via email after the consultation.
Video consultations will not be recorded unless specifically requested by the clinician. We may, from time to time ask for permission to use a video clip for promotional purposes.
Consent to the consultation is implied by accepting the invitation to the video call.
Medical Notes will be taken in line with our usual policy for storing data and GDPR compliance.
Our Practitioners will only ever consult with you from one of our treatment rooms whilst no-one else is present.
